Episode 37: Operakallaren

fancy classic meatballs while rubbing shoulders with women in furs and people reading the financial times in the back of Stockholm's opera house. Still, I love restaurants with tile everywhere. The more abbatoir the better, I say.

Episode 36: Djuret

ANIMALS. I like to eat them, I seldom do, as the wife is a vegetarian. So, when I get a chance, I don't dilly dally. Djuret serves several courses from a single beast. They switch animals every week or two. It's very modern Austrian cabin gemutlich.

Episode 35: Östermalms korvspecialist

korv korv korv. i love korv (sausage). so much that my mother in law has accidentally called me korven once instead of stephen. this sausage hut in fancy town, also known as Östermalm is amazing.

Episode 34: Regev's hummus

Regev hummus is the real thing. Authentic foul, hummus, shashuka, sabich, deliciously spicy Israeli pickles, and even slightly rude Israeli waiters. Aahh, just like bearetz.

Episode 33: Pelikan

My fave old school beer hall, with obligatory monkey roof mural, Pelikan also serves up some mean Swedish traditional food at reasonable prices. I love wood, monkeys and gubbröra, so I could basically live and die here.

Episode 32: Ersta Terass

I think Ersta Terass might have an even better view than Herman's, but you have to be willing to trade hippy buddhist vibe for Christian hospital vibe. I find the latter suits me better anyway. They also have a bakery for those little Christ consecrated crackers, if you're still hungry after lunch. They have beer, but are only open to 4 pm.

Episode 31: Boule hallen

Boule hallen on Närkesgatan is like a hipster Hitler bunker, but instead of planning the defense of Berlin, you can drink beer and play fusball, or throw heavy metal balls at drunk people when they wander across your boule court.
